NEW VISITOR CENTER “CONTINENTAL LIVE!” USES VUFRAME® TECHNOLOGY

On Tuesday, December 4, Continental opened the new visitor center “Continental LIVE!” in Regensburg. At the company's largest automotive location worldwide, visitors will in future be offered the opportunity to experience the innovative developments and products virtually and in augmented reality (AR) on an area of almost 300 square meters.

On the opening day, site and plant manager Thomas Ebenhöch was joined by guests from the worlds of politics, science and business. The deputy district administrator Willibald Hogger and the mayor of Regensburg, Gertrud Maltz-Schwarzfischer, were also welcomed. Andreas Zeitler and Andreas Dörfler from Vuframe were invited to the opening ceremony and were on hand to answer questions about the technology. “Continental and Vuframe will continue to expand their collaboration from 2019 to make the entire portfolio of Continental products and services a tangible experience,” said Managing Director Andreas Zeitler at the opening ceremony.

“With the visitor center, Continental wants to make the highlights that the location has to offer tangible and accessible,“ says site and plant manager Thomas Ebenhöch. ‘The name ’LIVE!' stands for the four central characteristics of the Regensburg location and the corporate culture. These qualities are a decisive strength, especially in the context of technological change,” Thomas Ebenhöch explained.

When looking for a way to visually and virtually present our products, services and processes, we chose the Vuframe® software. With the help of the central platform, any number of products can be fed in, centrally managed and then played out as interactive views on all devices and systems. In the new visitor center, these views, called "Smartvu", can be displayed on both large touch screens and tablet devices. “The common goal was to show every visitor components and processes from the portfolio in an end-user-friendly and as impressive a way as possible, and to make them tangible,” explained Andreas Zeitler in conclusion.
