Multi-File Format Requirements
For CAD formats that reference multiple files (like assemblies with part files), all required files must be provided in a single ZIP archive. This applies to:
- Solidworks (.sldasm with .sldprt files)
- Inventor (.iam with .ipt files)
- CATIA (.catproduct with .catpart files)
- Creo (.asm with .prt files)
- Materials and textures used in any format
When creating the ZIP, maintain the original folder structure and relative file paths to ensure proper assembly loading. Individual referenced files can reside in subfolders, as long as the original file relationships are preserved.
File Size
Individual files should not exceed 10GB for optimal import performance. ZIP archives should not exceed 50GB.
