Using QR Codes
QR Code
Generation
Share Pages automatically generate QR codes that link directly to your 3D content. You can also create custom QR codes using any QR code generator by simply inputting your Share Page URL. For advanced tracking, consider using URL shorteners that provide analytics to monitor engagement.
Download the QR Code of your Share Page
- Locate the QR code button on the top left of the share page.
- Click it to show the QR code UI.
- Right click and "Save Image" on the QR Code
Here's the QR code for the example:
Best Practices
- Test your QR codes before mass production
- Ensure sufficient contrast between the QR code and its background
- Include a call-to-action near the QR code
- Consider adding your logo to the QR code for brand recognition
- Size QR codes appropriately - larger is better for scanning distance, smaller than 1.5-2cm (or 1 inch) usually does not work well any more.
Example Use Cases
- QR codes on product packaging let customers instantly view 3D models of assembly instructions or product variants.
- Including them on quotations or proposals enables quick access to interactive product configurations.
- Trade show materials with QR codes can drive visitors to detailed 3D product demonstrations.
NFC Tags
NFC (Near Field Communication) tags offer an alternative to QR codes for physical-digital interaction. By programming NFC tags with your Share Page URL, you enable tap-to-view functionality on most modern smartphones. NFC tags work well in showroom settings, product displays, and business cards where a seamless transition from physical to digital interaction is desired.
Like QR codes, NFC tags can be configured to lead viewers to specific Share Pages showcasing your 3D content. The main advantage of NFC is its frictionless user experience - no scanning required, just a simple tap.
